I liked the Radiesse..after a month or so it seemed like I lost the volume I got immediately. Now putting some Voluma over same area. What filler has more product and less carrier gel..more bang for the buck so to speak?
Answer: Radiesse or Voluma? Thank you for your question. I like Voluma or Sculptura for the money. There is the volume loss with Radiesse, and this is a common complaint. A good product, but has limits.I hope this helps!

Answer: Voluma is more efficient than Radiesse In my view, Voluma provides more "bang for the buck" for several reasons:1. As you mentioned, Radiesse consists mostly of an inactive carrier gel which dissipates rapidly. This requires you to sometimes be "overcorrected" and therefore appear unnatural for a few weeks, before it settles to proper volume and then dissipates back to an under-corrected state. In contrast, Voluma is injected until full and proper correction is achieved, without need for over-correction.2. Voluma has greater cohesivity than Radiesse. Because of this unique physical property, Voluma lasts longer (up to 2 years), thus your investment lasts longer.3. Voluma consists of Hyaluronic Acid, Radiesse is a calcium-based filler. In my opinion, it is safer to use a hyaluronic acid filler, because if any tweaking is required, or if the filer does not settle well for some rare reason, the hyaluronidase enzyme can be used to correct it. While Radiesse may sometimes require "overcorrection", there is nothing available to your injector to soften an unexpected or unwanted "overcorrected" contour from a Radiesse treatment.Good luck!

Answer: Radiesse versus Voluma They are completely different fillers and function in different capacities. I just injected my mother the other day with both. They can both give volume but one is used for contouring and the other is typically more for lift and structure. I suggest going to a filler expert who can look at your face and determine what is best based on the physical properties of the filler itself. You want someone who understands this and your individual anatomy. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Radiesse vs voluma best bang for buck I love both of these products for filling the cheeks. In general with voluma what you see at the time of injection is what you get. Radiesse works differently and because many do see the initial decline in volume before the collagen grows in, I tend to shoot for slight "over correction" at the time of injection which settles over a week or two. In my practice radiesse is less expensive, but the advantage of voluma is that it is reversible and for some this is more reassuring. while both are great for filling I love them for their power of lifting. Good luck.

Answer: Radiesse is supposedly 70% carrier gel and 30% product...what has more product for the money? Thanks for writing,I use Radiesse almost exclusively and think it is great. Over 6 weeks it converts to your own collagen, vs a gel that sits there and resorbs. There are times that I layer the Radiesse so I continue to building volume. It may be the areas that were injected, it could the volume placed in each area. Where you cheek bones injected? I find this to me one of the most powerful areas of injection for Radiesse. The material works well but it is very much so technically driven, I do all my own injecting and have yet to hear your concerns. Good LuckStephen M. Davis, MD, FACSGreen Hills Plastic Surgery
