Are Lumps Permanent After SculpSure?

This is a common question. No risk of blood clots.Q: Is it normal to have nodules at 7 weeks post SculpSure? Also, still have bruises where applicators were placed.A: What to Do About Nodules at 7 Weeks and Bruising.In the FDA studies, 23 % of patients had nodules after treatment. Average duration was 70 days, minimum 35, maximum 139 days. Bruising was 6%, average duration12 days, maximum 18 days. So you are within the reported range for nodules, but longer for bruising.Symptomatic treatment could include massage for the nodules, and perhaps arnica montana for the bruising.  We usually prescribe Bruiseguard for more rapid resolution; it contains bromelain and sublingual arnica, seems to work quite well.  I don't think a vegan diet would have any effect. Time alone should take care of the nodules. I would discuss with my doctor, as some change in the settings for the next treatment, perhaps lower, might be considered.

Lumps after sculpture are unusual but can occur. They may last up to 3 months and are best treated by heat and massage. Please see your doctor if this continues to be of concern.

This is common in areas of large fatty deposits- they do go away and we suggest increasing fluid intake, massaging the area and we also offer lymphatic massage to the area to further help minimize the lumps.

All non invasive technologies can form lumps of swelling that will go down within 3-4 months. Massaging the area daily may help dissolve the lumps. This is totally normal, some patients experience what we call nodules. They are not permanent and will go away in time, to help speed along the process, you can massage them.

While rather uncommon, lumps can occur post Sculpsure.  Fortunately these will resolve over time, but in our clinic, we have seen a few people with these lumps for up to 3-4 months post procedure.  Be sure to continue massage to the areas for 5-10 minutes twice daily to help them go away quicker.

Hello,  Thank you for your question.  The lump typically fat cells that have clumped together.  I have my clients massage their treated area for 5 min two times a day to try and break up the fat cells so that they can be filtered by the lymphatic system.

These kind of persistent post treatment lumps are usually in areas where there was a lot of fat. Continue to massage the area. Drink tons of water. And you may want to add some kind of RF treatment. Speak with your surgeon as to what he or she offers. Best of luck.
