Split in a Nostril Tip Repair Can Be Rounded?

A childhood split in a nostril tip healed in a v-shaped point. When my nose is runny moisture collects there, itches, and sometimes threatens to drip. Can the nostril be surgically rounded again?

You phos indicate asymmetry of your nose which will rob ably not improve with time. Was your nose asymmetric prior to the surgery? It would be helpful to see your before photos to know for sure. Otherwise, you may need a revision of your rhinoplasty and the bones rebroken.

Many surgeons use packing after rhinoplasty especially when septal surgery has been performed. Packing will generally not cause any increased swelling or changes to the size of your nose. At this early stage of recovery, you should discuss your concerns with surgery.

You may experience dryness or irritation of the nose for many weeks after rhinoplasty. Generally the symptoms are easily treated with lubricating nasal spray often combined with a steroid spray.

I can't tell what's going on based on your description. You do not have any air between the skin or lining in the cartilage. The cartilage can be warped with pressure. Any asymmetry should be pointed out to your plastic surgeon.

The plastic surgeons on this website are constantly reminding patients the changes occur after rhinoplasty for months. However the obvious swelling that gives away a rhinoplasty is usually gone a couple of weeks.
