Hello I am a 26 year old female. I weigh 260 pounds. I struggle with a lot of hanging skin on my belly. I've had 3 c sections and I think they have really put a toll on my stomach. I have superior medicaid. I'm trying to see if I qualify for a panniculectomy. I called a surgeon, they said they do accept insurance for the procedure but I need to get a referral. How would I go about getting a referral from a doctor? What would I say? How can I get them to give me one? Would I qualify with my weight ?

If a circular area of skin is removed from around the navel is too large it will cause unnatural results including puckering of skin. Think of a draw string effect. This would not be acceptable to most people. I encourage you to consider a tummy tuck. It could be skin only if you prefer.
Having a history of PE does not automatically disqualify you from considering surgery, however it does put you in a higher risk category. A good place to begin is to visit with your hematologist to discuss your interest in surgery. If given clearance you can then meet with a board certified...
Congratulations on your impressive weight loss! From the photos you appear to be a candidate for a panniculectomy which would remove the hanging apron of skin. If you are interested in contouring the abdomen and having a more sculpted look you may want to consider a tummy tuck.
