Do necrotic tissue lumps need to be removed after so long?

it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Hi and welcome to our forum!I am sorry to hear of your complicated postoperative course. 6 years out from surgery, the lumps most likely represent areas of dense fibrosis (scar) where there was soft tissue necrosis following the reduction. At the least, you require frequent serial mammographic studies to rule out any change in the lumps. As you are symptomatic, it may be better to have them removed.Best wishes...
