Do necrotic tissue lumps need to be removed after so long?

I had a breast reduction 6 years ago, with would healing complications. I have multiple large lumps, about the size of a golf ball, in my right breast. They are uncomfortable and sometimes feel like they move, but have not improved in the 6 years since my surgery. Is it normal for this to not get better? And should I look into having them removed?

I counsel my patients they will have the best results if they can be as close as possible to their ideal weight prior to surgery. Weight gain or loss will change results.

Hello and thank you for your question. If you are speaking about your family physician, he/or she will send documentation of symptoms to your Plastic surgeon. Your surgeon will then send his/her evaluation along with your any documentation to your insurance company for approval. Best wishes!
