Hello, Thank you for sharing your concern — this type of contour depression in the buttock is actually more common than many realize, and it can be very frustrating, especially when diet and exercise don’t improve it. In long-standing cases like yours, the issue is usually related to soft-tissue deficiency or tethering in the area, rather than muscle or lifestyle factors. For restoring symmetry and a smooth contour, the most effective approach is typically a fat transfer procedure (BBL). Fat harvested from another area of your body is carefully injected to fill the indentation and blend the edges naturally. This allows precise shaping and creates a very natural look — it does not need to be a dramatic or exaggerated result. We can focus solely on correcting the dent and restoring balance. In some cases where the depression is deep or there is scar tissue tethering the skin, release of the banding combined with fat grafting offers the best outcome. If a patient does not have enough donor fat, buttock implants or hybrid augmentation (implant + fat grafting) are alternative solutions. However, when possible, I prefer fat transfer for a smoother and more natural transition. A proper exam and imaging will help determine the best technique for your tissue quality and aesthetic goals, but you are absolutely a candidate for improvement — and a natural-looking result is very achievable.
