CoolSculpting with muscular dystrophy?

Question

I have muscular dystrophy and am a full-time wheelchair user. Can you think of anything that would preclude me from being a candidate for cool sculpting on my upper thighs and hips? Can it cause muscle or nerve damage?

Most patients require a second treatment 2 to 3 months after the first to see better outcomes.  For best results with Coolsculpting, a combination approach is needed. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, truSculpt iD, Venus Legacy, and Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing.

If you still have specific problem areas that do not respond to non-invasive treatments, a VASER Hi-Definition Liposuction procedure with ThermiRF, Renuvion (J-Plasma), and InMode BodyTite may be needed to give more fat removal, contouring, skin tightening, and definition.​ I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a hi-definition physique expert. CoolSculpting could be done on someone with muscular dystrophy and the treatment does not damage the muscle or nerves.

Coolsculpting will not cause muscle or nerve injury.   For the Coolsculpting you will have to be able to get on a bed and lie in a certain position for at least an hour to 4 hours at a time.   You also have to have a certain type and amount of fat to have an aesthetically pleasing result which could be discussed at the consultation.   Also, I would recommend to go only to a clinic that has a physician to properly evaluate all of the medical history to ensure the safety of the whole process.
