Hello, I’m 42, 5’2” and 120lbs. I work out daily and cannot get rid of pockets of fat on my hips. I’ve had them all of my life. I’m looking for non-surgical options that will have long lasting or permanent to results. I’ve had 2 CoolSculpting consultations. One said I’d be a good candidate using the CoolSmooth applicator and the other said I’m not a candidate because treating hips are considered off market and I’d be at risk for indentations? My hip bulges are my main concern.
Answer: Coolsculpting Fat Removal - add Vanquish, trusculpt iD, Cellutone, EVIVE, ZWave -- “Fire and Ice” Non Surgical Fat Reduction If you have small problem areas you can use non invasive methods like Coolsculpting with Vanquish or trusculpt iD to get small areas of fat reduced. Skin also tightens if you combine this with Exilis Ultra, Venus Legacy, and Inmode Forma/Contoura radiofrequency treatments. You boost the results from Coolsculpting if you add in Kybella injections to melt fat as well. We often combine Coolsculpting with shock therapy like ZWave, EVIVE, and Cellutone to get even faster results, more improvement, and less risk of combinations like nodules, swelling, neuropathy or paradoxical hyperplasia. Coolsculpting often takes a few treatments separated 8 to 12 weeks apart to get significant improvement. However, to get the most fat removal, contouring, skin tightening and definition, a VASER HI-DEF liposuction / liposculpture procedure with ThermiRF, Renuvion (J-Plasma), InMode BodyTite and fat grafting is your best bet. This will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a body contouring and hi-definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Coolsculpting Hi Intellectual965021 CoolSculpting is not a weight loss procedure. Fat cells certainly take up a lot of space and have a lot of volume, but they don’t weigh very much. The opposite is true of muscle. Lean muscle weighs more than fat but doesn’t take up a ton of space. So although you won’t see the scale change if you do CoolSculpting in isolation, you will see undeniable results. For more information about this procedure, please visit our website.

Answer: You can try If you can fit a CoolSculpting applicator then yes, you are a candidate. CoolSculpting will eliminate 25% off your subcutaneous fat, so I think it could be a good option for you. Maybe go somewhere for a third opinion to see which applicator is right for you!

Answer: Hip roll and Hip-Dip options: CoolSculpting, Sculptra, Lipo-contouring and fat grafting Dear Intellectual965021, Thanks for sharing your photos. They are helpful and illustrate the hip roll / fold which with skin laxity accentuates the hip-dip concavity. CoolSculpting is a non-invasive and reasonable option for reduction of the fold itself. It will not fill in the “dip”. A minimally invasive option that my patients have found very worthwhile is Sculptra sessions to the concavity to tighten and fill. (see Sculptra / buttock link below). Liposuction and fat grafting are the surgical alternative to reduce the one area and fill the other. Remember that each have their unique benefits and limitations. Please consult with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who provides expertise with these body contouring choices. All the best!
