When is it safe to start low dose Accutane after Asian rhinoplasty?

There is limited literature about the use of Accutane around the time of surgery. One comparative study  by surgeons from India suggests that contrary to established beliefs there is no evidence of increased side effects when Accutane is used before or after surgery. Your dermatologist will probably be aware of this study.
The main point though is that you want you wounds well healed after surgery before you start this medication. I would suggest a minimum of one month from surgery, but would prefer 6 to 8 weeks. 
Accutane will not change the cartilage or fascia but will show more the imperfections. After you stop the Accutane there is some return of the thickness of the soft tissues of the nose but they remain thinner than before the treatment.

 Its probably best to resume taking Accutane 3 months after a rhinoplasty procedure.  It is also important to be off of it a few months prior to the procedure.
