Hello, I’m wondering what procedure would be best to give me a more desirable lip shape? Should I get a lip flip? Lip filler? What would you suggest to make my lips look better?
Answer: Facial Sculpting Candidate -- Fillers, Threads, Fat Transfer, Implants, See an expert It's difficult to say without the benefit of a formal evaluation. This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. See an expert who does facial shaping with surgical and non surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Desirable lips It would be best to come in for a consultation to not only understand what look you would like to achieve, but to assess your lips, your face and your anatomy to determine the best treatments to recommend. Lip filler adds volume, structure, and creates a different shape. A lip flip will soften the amount of lip that flips inwards when you smile. Both treatments serve a purpose depending on your desired results!

Answer: Lip shape Hello and thank you for your question. It is always best to see you face to face for a consult and examination however from your photos a small amount of filler would likely be best to enhance your natural features. I hope that helps answer your question. Always seek an experienced and qualified medical professional for these treatments. Very best wishes

Answer: Lip asymmetry Dear neednewlippies, I perform a lot of lip injections with fillers such as juvederm and it works great. Many times I need to put more in one side than the other to attempt to even out the vermillion border (The red line of the lip). This helps provide more symmetry at times. For patients looking for a more long lasting result, I recommend fat grafting. That is, using your own bodies fat to make your lips naturally look more shapely. The bonus is that the results last many many years. In general, I avoid using permanent prosthesis because I find that the lips are such dynamic and sensitive structures, the end result is not natural. Answer: Lip Filler v. Lip Flip Adding lip filler would be a great option for you before doing a Botox "lip flip." You can start by adding a syringe of filler to add volume to the upper lip which would help improve the shape and balance the upper lip with the lower lip fullness. Adding lip filler can also correct minor asymmetries of the lip and improve hydration. Please make sure to have an in-person consultation with an experienced injector!
