I need to save up to get a more permanent solution, but not sure if botox will alleviate it or not. I don't want a bigger chin so I'm afraid to do filler in the area
Answer: Chin Filler Hi, I’m Lauren, the aesthetic injector here at Colorado Plastic Surgery Center. This is a common concern among patients, and filler is typically recommended in this area as it adds volume and definition. I recommend starting with a consultation with a skilled provider to perform a full facial assessment and develop a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals.

Answer: Filler vs Botox Hello, I would recommend filler to the area to fill the indented area. Botox is used to relax muscles minimizing fine lines and wrinkles, while filler can add volume to make the chin over all more round and not as indented.

Answer: Botox for chin Chin dimples can occur for a variety of reasons. Dimming can occur from the result of the mentalist muscle and this is best treated with botox. If the depression is present all the time and not with certain chin or mouth movements then you can consider a filler as a longer lasting result for the depression. It is difficult to tell from your photo which is best as dynamic movements are so important to fully assess this area.

Answer: Cleft chin Botox would not help the appearance of the cleft in your chin. Botox is a neuromodulator that impacts the ability of a muscle to contract. Muscle activity is not influencing the appearance of your chin. Filler may be helpful in softening the depth of the cleft. See an expert injector near you to discuss treatment.

Answer: Consider Subcision For Elevating & Smoothing A "Butt Chin" Botox is unlikely to help; HA fillers can help, but are only temporary; and permanent fillers run the risk of permanent long-lasting complications that are not easy to treat when they occur. Subcision, on the other hand, which I have personally been performing since 1995, has a several decades" long track record of safety and efficacy for elevating and smoothing all kinds of skin depressions and indentations. It is predicated on stimulating the skin to produce its own new collagen and elastic fiber synthesis and hence the results are typically long-lasting to permanent. You would be wise to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist and best of luck.
