If you only want straight teeth then Invisalign or braces will correct your inward slanting teeth; however, inward slanting teeth is only one of a number of problems you should strongly consider correcting. You have what is termed a class II Div. II malocclusion. More than likely, this malocclusion is caused by a severely underdeveloped upper dental arch. A very high percentage of women with this type of malocclusion suffer TMJ Dysfunction and sleep breathing disorders. Because of your underdeveloped upper dental arch your lower jaw is displaced back too far. This is what is causing your concave facial profile. If the underdeveloped dental arches are not corrected and your lower jaw is not brought into its more natural forward position you will always have a narrow smile, a concave facial profile causing premature aging, small lips, your nose will look large and you will very likely suffer symptoms of TMJ Dysfunction (headaches, neck aches, back aches, ringing or buzzing in the ears, clicking joint, sinus fullness, facial pain, etc.) and possible sleep breathing issues. For all of these reasons (improve facial aesthetics, improve TMJ and airway health) you should definitely consider finding a doctor who understands epigenetic orthodontics. Find a doctor who understands the relationship of tooth movement to facial aesthetics, TMJ and airway health. In my office, we would use a comfortable removable appliance to enlarge the upper and lower dental arches, move your teeth out of their inward slant and bring the lower jaw forward. We would then use conventional braces to straighten your teeth. Invisalign would NOT be a good option for your case.Total treatment time would be approximately 12 months with the removable appliance and 6-12 months in braces.Good luck!
