Ive recently had 3 sessions of picosure for acne scars and its been a week since i did my co2 laser and i have not noticed any diffrence at all on my scars im 26 years old male.will my scars improve?
Answer: Acne Scarring -- Needs Combination of Subcision; Fillers Like Bellafill; Lasers Like Fraxel/Erbium/Co2; TCA cross; Intensif RF picosure will not help your acne scars. and for a good outcome you need more than one aggressive co2 laser resurfacing. I suggest you see an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Recommend combining laser with chemical peels and other forms of laser treatment for better results Fractional CO2 laser is an excellent tool for skin rejuvenation in our center in Santa Monica. We use the fractional multi-depth ablative approach to help resurface the skin, recontour acne scars, improve incisional plastic surgery scars, and reduce surface irregularities from skin tone to dark pigmentation. Our approach utilizes a multi-depth approach that targets melanocytes in the epidermis and collagen fibroblasts in the dermis. This approach can be combined with a TCA Peel in a process known as a sapphire peel. Fractional laser is excellent for acne scars and contour scars in the skin. Patients are advised to undergo skin protocols with Melarase creams before and after treatment to help reduce pigmentation. Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads can seriously improve surface sun damage and UV related pigmentation. After the laser, we expect redness for a few weeks as the skin improves. PRP and Hydrafacial enzyme facials can further improve skin quality after fractional co2. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Fractional CO2 laser for acne scars Thank you for your question ignacio14. Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing is an outstanding treatment that can address multiple aspects of aging in a single treatment. Picosecond Q-switched lasers are useful for tattoo removal and pigment such as melisma; they are not effective for acne scars. Fractional CO2 laser treatment is useful for acne scars. Most patients benefit from a series of treatments. Full results are seen 3-6 months after a treatment and continued improvement is seen 6-12 months after a treatment. Redness can last several weeks. Patience is important. Please consult with a doctor for specific recommendations. Good luck!

Answer: Picosure lasers and acne scars. Picosure despite all the hype is not a good laser for acne scars in your skin type. It is excellent for pore size reduction in ethnic skin type, but NOT a good laser for acne scars in your skin type. You Specialist should have informed you that you will need several fractional CO2 laser treatments for your scars, and, most importantly, it takes a few months for collagen to remodel. Always approach scar revision by treating the scar type, and not just a device. More in the web reference below. Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
