I am hoping to have a prophylactic double mastectomy after having had breast cancer over 15 years ago ("lumpectomy" done.) My mother and her mother also had breast cancer, so I'm just getting to the ready stage to reduce risk. I've learned just recently that there is even nipple-sparing mastectomy available these days! Awesome.
