I'm so sorry you are having this problem. Unfortunately, I have been writing about this for years cautioning readers that permanent fillers, like silicon, alcamid and Bellafil can result in problems, such as nodules and granuloma five, ten or even (as in your case) twenty years after treatment--especially when placed in areas like the lips that can be triggered by any manipulation of the area, such as dental work or other minor trauma. Artecoll, by the way, is just the early, European precursor product for today's Bellafil. I have personally treated a patient who was treated in Europe with Artecoll over fifteen years earlier. Besides intralesional steroids, intralesional 5-FU and hyaluronidase may be helpful. Subcision to break up larger nodules may also be helpful to allow for greater exposure to the injectable antiinflammatory agents. Going forward, I would be cautious about using any fillers in the area, including safer, temporary, hyaluronic acid-based fillers, as the simple injection of these may constitute enough additonal manipulation to razz up any quiescent Artecoll. no they are doing what they can and doing it right, you should use other fillers to camouflage that are softer and reversible, and you should use 5FU and steroid injections to keep the nodules under control. lip hydrators and plumpers should be used daily to improve circulation (see link) Best, Dr. Emer.

Sorry to hear the experience you have gone through.
I use bellafill which is long lasting filler but I would avoid injecting it in the lips.
having said that, I would like to suggest have a consultation to see if you add hyaluronic acid fillers ( Juvederm ) in the lips so would correct asymmetry and improves the look.
this method doesnt remove the bump but for the issue, you have tried so much, this could offer a remedy.
Always in-office consultation is a necessity to make a determination on what would be the best option.
