It is safer not to exericise for a day after the injections to minimize bruising and swelling but the exericise shouldn't make it migrate to other areas provided the tissues are not being squeezed and manipulated.
Your results will not change from doing exercise, but with exercise there is increased blood pressure and blood flow. This increase in blood flow and pressure could make your swelling and bruising take a longer time to heal. Give yourself a couple days of rest. Walking is fine and you can continue to apply ice periodically throughout the day to the area injected.
It is best to wait 24 hours after your filler treatment before resuming exercise. Exercise prior to this will not "move" the filler, but you may have more swelling.
I recommend waiting 2 days after filler injection to resume significant cardio exercise or anything that requires significant strain or your head hanging downward. It won’t change the outcome (the results) but the dilation of blood vessels that happens with exercise can increase and prolong bruising and swelling. If you don’t mind some extra downtime or if you tend not to bruise or swell, then go ahead and exercise the day after fillers. Caveate - these are my recommendations. However I recommend you follow the instructions of your physician.I hope this answer was helpful. Best wishes!
Thank you for your question. It is advisable not to exercise for 24 hours after injection. This is to help minimize bruising and swelling. However, exercising should not make the filler migrate as long as the tissues are not being squeezed or manipulated. Best of Luck
I would avoid exercise right after a filler is placed. It shoudl be ok by the next day, but it may unroof bruising and further swelling.
We commonly ask our patients to avoid strenuous exercise for 24-36 hours after Restylane injections to minimize the chances of swelling. Others doctors may have different regimens.
As far as I know restylane should not give you chest pains or bony aches. You may want to follow-up with your medical doctor for these symptoms.
Sorry to hear of your situation. Several comments. Due to our litigious society, no physician likes taking on the management of complications by another physician or worse yet, a non-doctor. This is commonly seen with people who have complications from cosmetic surgery done in other...
Restylane is not contraindicated with Crohns disease or psoriasis, but any injectable filler in the setting of an auto-immune disease can cause a problem. Treatments like Restylane should be done with caution and preferably when the disease is not active and is under control.
