Canted smile with veneers - shouldn't permanent veneers look like the temporaries? (Photo)

I had veneers done and am upset, the temporary veneers improved my canted smile but after the porcelain veneers were placed it looks like my old canted smile (except whiter/without decay). Shouldn’t the permanent veneers look like the temporaries?

The main difference is the material used, the temporary normally is made almost the same, but for our patients we always make a mock-up of the permanent, to make sure that it looks exactly the patient wants and needs. This is the one of the differences between doing with specialists and a budget clinic.The size and shape of dental veneers should complement your face and even your body. For example, a petite female will most likely not have the same tooth shape as a larger male. You also want to make sure that your palate is not inverted when smiling. This means that the edges of your teeth should follow your lower lip line; they should bend upwards, not backwards, following the lower lip. That way, you actually look like you’re smiling rather than frowning.
Most faces fall into four categories : heart, square, oval, and round. All ages are naturally balanced as the most suitable tooth shape and size.Heart Shape: Heart-shaped faces look better with rounder and shorter coats.Oval Shape: Oval shaped faces work better with squarer overlays. This helps to add fullness to the face.Round Shaped: Round faces look better with longer and more defined coats.Square Shaped: Since square-shaped faces have more defined jaw lines, it works better with rounded overlays to soften features.
