Non ablative lasers for scars?

At least from the descripiton provided, it sounds like a hypertrophic scar. Instead of chasing after expensive, here-today-gone tomorrow "bells and whistles" light and energy-based gizmos, you might wish to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist about the use of a simple intralesional injection of an appropriate anti-inflammatory medication, which has been used successfully and safely for decades to shrink and flatten hypertrophic scars and takes less than a couple of minutes to perform with little to no significant downtime. Studies have shown that the 1565 laser is as effective as fractional ablative CO2 in treating scars with less downtime. You may want to try intralesional steroids with 5 FU prior to laser surgery as it may be helpful. Find a scar expert.
