What can happen getting acupuncture 30 hours after getting Botox?

Question

I got Botox in my forehead for the first time and only 30 hours later was getting acupuncture done. I had completely forgot to ask the question, to my acupuncturist about it being okay, and before I knew it I had a needle in between my brows. What can potentially happen from this? Is there anything I can do to reduce any possible side effects?

Getting acupuncture done the following day after botox is fine.   I get acupuncture done as well and there's never been a problem.  However - just to be cautious - I would not do the acupuncture on the same day as receiving botox.   The only big precaution I tell patients after botox treatment is not to lie face down on a table (massage or facial massage) for four hours after treatment.   Also - to keep the area clean and dry for the first 24hrs.   So keep the exercise light and not too sweaty.   We don't want sweat and bacteria to get into the areas that were injected.   It doesn't affect the botox but you could get a pimple.
