I have some mild hypertrophic scarring on my back from picking acne in my youth. I developed a single keloid, which I later had flattened with a steroid injection. I've had some surgery and have never formed another keloid since, so I don't think I'm a risk group for this. I'm getting a Jessner Peel done to smooth out some mild scarring, would be safe to have the peel done over the keloid spot as well (might smooth it over) or would that risk aggravating it and causing it to reform?
