Is high diving not recommended after breast implants?

Question

I don’t know if anyone has ever been to Rick’s cafe in Jamaica. But it’s a cliffside bar in Negril where you can cliff jump into the ocean. I was there about a month ago again and just remembered thinking that this was the last time I would be able to jump off the cliffs since I was planning to get implants. If any MDs. could respond. Is high diving not recommended after implants? It seems like the impact could potentially shift the implant.

Thank you for your question. You should always follow the post operative guidelines of your surgeon, but once you are fully heal from your breast augmentation, you should have no issue diving from a high cliff.

Provided that you are fully healed, there are no restrictions from diving after breast augmentation surgery. The water impact is not going to hurt your breast implants whether you go in feet or head first...even from the cliffs off of the cafe. While there are some dangers jumping off that cliff, injuring your breast implants is not the ones of which you should be primarily concerned.

Once you’ve healed from surgery, I see no reason why you couldn’t cliff dive. Implants are very sturdy and wouldn’t be affected by something like that. Good luck!

After you are healed, there are no restrictions.  Check with your surgeon who can help you with the timetable.  Go for it!
