Is it normal for breast implant to flip?

Breast implants can, on occasion, try to be gymnasts and do backflips. There is no harm or risk from this occurring but it can be uncomfortable due to the change in position. If the implant remains "upside-down"- such that the flat part of the implant is under the nipple instead of against the chest wall- a short revision procedure should stop this from happening in the future.

Being able to flip an implant in the pocket is possible, and is not particularly serious.  If it does not bother you and the appearance does not change, it may be OK to do nothing.  This may occur with smooth implants during vigorous massage or heavy exercise if the pocket is a little larger than the implant. The might be prevented by less vigorous massage or allowing the pockets to contract around the implant more.  In refractory cases, revision may be necessary.  I would suggest you seek evaluation by your plastic surgeon.
