I also cannot touch my back and I have developed a slight lisp. I have called the dentist and I am waiting to hear back every time I chew all of the pressure is on my temporaries. I seems to have developed a lips too. Will this go away? Will my gums drop down anymore? I feel like these are a little too big, opinions please!
Answer: Temps look big ... #RealSelf100 #DrSarahThompson It appears that your temps are a little bulky, but I would make sure that you ask your dentist to give you the opportunity to try on the real crowns before they are cemented on. This is not a requirement, but is recommended, if you are unhappy with the appearance of the temps. It is my hope that your permanent crowns look better than your temps. Good luck and I hope this helps.Sarah Thompson, DMDSt. Louis, MO area (O'Fallon, IL)Real Self 100

Answer: Assymetry in lateral. Call your dentist to fix bite issue ASAP. Gingival contours and teeth are very assymetrical.Centrals wide relative to laterals, particularly the right lateral. You have dark buccal corridors and a four tooth smile due to underdeveloped narrow maxilla.A DNA Appliance would offer a great esthetic improvement in your smile. It would allow you to have a full wide smile.Ira L Shapira DDS, D,ABDSM, D,AAPM, FICCMO

Answer: Temporaries The short answer is: Yes, the temporaries look and are too bigThe long answer and hopefully the good news is that the permanent crowns will most likely not resemble the temporary crowns at all. Ideally you do not want much if any biting pressure on the those temporaries as that can cause aches and sensitivity as well as chipping/fracturing of the temps or they can pop off the tooth prep. I would contact your dentist to correct the bite on the temp crowns and make you more comfortable. As far as the lisp goes, this would be caused by the change in the back surface and length/placement of the teeth. Again, this will most likely be completely different than the temp crowns. Advice: 1. Make sure to take extremely good care of the temps and the gum tissue during healing.2. Make sure you are able to see and inspect the permanent crowns BEFORE they are cemented. This way you make sure everything is the way you envisioned and any changes to the crowns can be done very quickly and easily by the dentist or lab.Good luck

Answer: Too big? I would suggest returning to your dentist and sharing your concerns. Your back teeth do need to touch and if you didn't have a lisp previously your dentist needs to correct this problem. Your arch is very narrow and these front 4 teeth are much more pronounced that the teeth behind them. There is room for modification of these temporaries to create a more harmonious smile. Your dentist will want you to be happy with the temporaries before completing the final restorations.

Answer: Teeth The temps are way wrong--too square with uneven gingival recontouring. The lateral incisors & canines are not in proportion to the centrals. You're going to need more than 2 front teeth to make this right--all 8 front teeth need to be changed.Find a competent doctor who can do this.
