Thanks for the question. You should be able to flying by 1-2 weeks after your surgery. If your doctor say everything's fine, yes, you can go. If any unexpected incident happens in your treatment process, this time can be extended or shortened. I wish you all the best.
Generally one to two weeks is required for recovery. You do not want to do anything strenuous or that requires you to bend or stretch. The board certified plastic surgeon (BCPS) who performs your surgery is the best one to recommend your period of recovery. Your plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to specific advice but in my practice, I would likely advise you against having elective breast surgery five days before vacation. Remember that your plastic surgeon will want to see you for follow-up and that, even under the best circumstances, many patients do not feel up to traveling five days after surgery.
