Im a 47 year old male with two abscesses.. One on tooth 19 and the other on 30. Both are failed root canals and both cannot have re treatment root canals done. My Dentist wanted to pull both and do implants. I asked for a second opinion and they referred me to a Endodontist. Had an Apico done on 19 and will have one done on 30. They said if I pulled 19 id still have to bone graft wait for 6 mos. If the apico fails can I still do a extract/graft/implant?

Hi:I believe the solution to your gummy smile is not veneers. For best long term result you need to do a orthognatic surgery to move the entire upper jaw up.Best,Dr. Maddahi
Hello,
Implants do not have any nerve endings and hence there is no sensation with them. I suggest that you have your dentist evaluate the adjacent teeth and even the lower teeth. Sensitivity could be coming from any tooth in that area.
Hello Pat,Cementing the screw is not a proper fix. Implants can be removed if necessary and replaced or any number of things. You may want to consider seeking the opinion of another implant specialist.Best of luck.
