Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon
For a double chin, InMode FaceTite with VASERlipo would give you the best result. With significant neck sagging you would need a facelift / neck lift with muscle tightening (platysmaplasty). At the same time, I would recommend lasers (Fraxel, CO2, or Erbium) and microneedling RF (Fractora, Morpheus8, Intensif) to improve the crepey skin and wrinkles. Overall, the neck can be treated with a combination approach:1. Microneedling and laser treatments for texture2. Botox, Dysport, Xeomin or Jeuveau to help platysmal bands3. Intensif, Fractora, or Morpheus8 microneedling RF for crepey skin and lifting4. Injectable fillers like Belotero, Restylane Silk, and Juvederm Volbella to improve lines and folds5. Face/neck lifting if sagging is prominent or premature, with or without platysmaplasty (muscle tightening)6. Renuvion (J-Plasma), ThermiRF, and InMode FaceTite/AccuTite for internal tightening7. Ultherapy and Thermage for external tightening8. Regular Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra, or InMode Forma treatments with facials to maintain tightness9. PDO NovaThreads or Silhouette InstaLift cone threads for lifting and long-term collagen productionSee an expert for a formal evaluation and to develop a personalized treatment plan based on your individual situation and goals.Best, Dr. Emer
It's difficult to assess online without photos to view. Depending on the level of laxity, the effects of a neck lift will certainly outlast the effects of non-surgical treatments. Non-surgical procedures can only temporary resolve the issue and require few to several attempts or treatment appointments. The presence of banding down the front of the #neck, and, amount of excess skin and condition of your skin are among some factors which determine if you are a #candidate for #rejuvenating the neck. During an in-person examination, your chin will be evaluated along with the neck and jawline. A weak #chin implies a lack of chin support for the skin along the neck line. In younger individuals a chin implant alone is usually all that is needed to improve the appearance of the neck. Subsequently, it will also improve the overall #balance of the face and can create the illusion of a smaller nose. As a stand-alone procedure, chin augmentation can be performed in the office under local #anesthesia. For individuals with signs of #aging in the neck, a chin implant added to one of the recommended procedures above, will provide optimal results.A board certified plastic surgeon should evaluate both your anatomical features and aesthetic goals to suggest which procedure best suits your needs. In some cases there may be more than one option to choose from and and if you are not a candidate at the time of your #consultation, your board surgeon can recommend alternatives to address your concern.
I recommend a combination of Pelleve and Nectifirm cream to address skin laxity in the neck region. You will need 4-6 Pelleve treatments and you will need to use Nectifirm twice a day for at least 2 months. You can also speak to your plastic surgeon about Kybella. It is an injection to permanently destroy double chin fat. You will probably need a couple sessions. And it will have skin tightening effects as well.Ultimately, it is possible that surgery could be the best option but the above are the best non-surgical options.By best,Sheila Nazarian
Unfortunately, as of now, the results of the use of non-invasive devices available for body (i.e. off-face) rejuvenation, including the neck, have been disappointing. Perhaps the May/June 2014 issue of Modern Aesthetics put it best when it stated (referreing to IPL, fractional lasers, and ultrasound devices), "Though several devices offer modest benefit in certain areas, the ideal technology for delivering results that match patient expectations has not yet arrived on the market."The creative use of fillers and volumizers, on the other hand (either alone or in combination with a "Nefertiti Lift" using neuromodulators) injected in threadlike amounts and oriented to provide maximum projection, stretch and lift, a procedure known as The Nonsurgical 3D Vectoring Necklift, is a viable alternative when surgery is neither desired nor indicated. The procedure takes about fifteen minutes to perform, requires no cutting or suturing, and engenders little or no downtime. For more information on this procedure. check out the archives of Realself.com. and of course seek out consultation with a board certified aesthetic core physician with extensive expertise and experience in all forms of nonsurgical aesthetic rejuvenation.
Since you are not interested in surgery, your options really depend on the extent of the saggy neck skin. If it is mild, with limited fat treatments such as radio frequency skin tightening can really help. This works by basically heating the skin and the collagen re-aligns and tightens. In younger people, this can work wonders. its very difficult to determine if this would work for you without seeing photo's. Dr Bonaparte, MD
While there are non-invasive or local neck only operations to help the sagging neck, the term "turkey neck" implies significant facial as well as neck aging. To get a compatible natural appearance for the face and neck, treatment of the face would be needed as well. While the results of isolated neck lifts can be acceptable, there is a tendency for the neck not to match the face, or the jawline to be too sharp or the lax skin under the chin to be undercorrected. For lesser degrees of laxity and aging, some external heat applying devices can mildly tighten the neck, but eventually cannot keep up with aging. A consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon who is knowledgeable about the full range of surgical and non-surgical options would be the most helpful way to answer this question.
Patients with inadequate definition of the cervico-mental(neck angle bellow the chin) may require a minimally invasive neck lift to reshapethe neck skin, fat and underlying muscle (plastysma muscle) . Patients seekingneck improvement should make a consultation with a Board Certified PlasticSurgeon specialized in Neck Lifts
Turkey neck needs a facelift for repair. It there was someway of dealing with this without surgery all would be doing it. Platysma platy will not take care of jowl and cheeks.
Usually surgery is the best option, but an exam or pictures would be necessary to make that determination.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
