Hi smashed about a quarter of my upper front tooth out 2 days ago and I’ve Just had it bonded today and now I’ve got severe tooth ache is this normal? Thankyou in advance

Hi:Since there was trauma to the area, you might have pain for the next 2-4 weeks.  It’s best to make sure the bite on the bonding is ok.Best,Dr. Maddahi

Sometimes when a tooth is traumatized (as in smashed) it can cause the nerve inside the tooth to die. However, this dying process doesn't always cause immediate pain - it can take a few days for the pain to set in. I do not believe the pain is from the bonding procedure. Contact your dentist immediately and tell them what your symptoms are so you can avoid further discomfort.
