Regret Having Brazilian Laser Treatment (I Only Had 1 Treatment) ... Will It Grow Back if I Stop Treat?

2 weeks ago I had my first and only brazilian laser hair removal treatment. Almost ALL the hair has shed (I don't know if this is normal since I read that only SOME hair sheds). I wish I would have chosen the traditional bikini style. Will my hair grow back if I stop treatment? Also, will the THIN hair that will now grow - if it does grow at all - become thick as the "lasered-off" hair if I shave? Will I be able to have a traditional bikini laser treatment?

Hi A214.  Your suggestion is exactly our protocol.  For high strength hydroquinone use (over 4%) we require a 1 month resting period after 3 months of use.  If you have been off for a month, we would think it ok to go back on.  Good luck.

Hi HTPT.  Even with the hyperpigmentation you are speaking about, we would most likely reach for our diode laser (Lumenis Lightsheer) because it's more effective.  If the hair were to be VERY coarse and the PIH very dark, we may choose instead or yag laser (Sciton Profile)....

Laser hair removal devices are so low in energy that you would have to be zapping yourself day and night to see any difference. Having your baby in the next room will be no harm. I strongly advise you to see a certified physician to benefit from a full, lasting result.  Best regards

Usually laser hair removal should be done 4-6 weeks apart and most patients need 6-9 treatments to see full result on the area treated. You should only be shaving, no wax,tweeze, or threading the area so the hair follicle is just below the skin.

There could be numerous reasons why the skin is pink, Providing a photo and mentioning what area was treated would be helpful. Pink skin is normal after laser hair removal, theres a good chance this isn't pigmentation. If the area treated was on the face it may be  a combination of broken...
