Advertising Candela GentleMax but having GentleYag. Is GentleYag better for dark skin?

I signed up for laser hair removal at a place that advertised Candela GentleMax on their website. When I got my first laser hair removal treatment, I saw that they had the Candela GentleYag not GentleMax. I have fair skin and dark hair. As far as I know, GentleYag has lower intensity for dark skin and is not optimal for light skin. Is that correct? Should I protest with the establishment about misleading advertisement?

Yes, you can have laser hair removal. Diode, alexandrite and yag lasers work best. It will take a series of treatments to get improvement. Please see an expert for an evaluation and about the skincare products. Best, Dr. Emer.
