What can I do about redness 8 months after 775cc breast reconstruction/augmentation? (Photos)

It is difficult to see due to limited photos and without a physical exam but it is typical to have redness particularly in the lower portion of a breast reconstruction particularly that utilizes a breast reduction pattern which appears you had this technique. Generally, what we call "dependent rubor" will last 12-14 months. Occasionally will last longer but usually is not an issue long term.

Hello @jamegamb, thank you for question. Keep in mind that scarring has a maturation cycle of approximately one to one and a half years depending on the patient's skin. It can take different features depending on the process inherent to the patient's health and skin condition. Is important that you follow your doctor`s recommendations. The bra is extremely important for providing support to the breast and maintaining its shape after surgery in my opinion. I always recommend it to my patients. Below is a video to shed more light. I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.
