What's the difference between microneedling and Infiniskin?

The infini is a micro needling radio frequency device that delivers a lot of heat and energy. This should not be confused with a dermapen or other micro needling devices that don't deliver this amount of energy and results. Please discuss with your doctor what device they are using and what the differences are. There are many machines on the market which can be very confusing to the patient.

The microneedling applies to heat or energy to the skin. It pokes holes in the skin so as to stimulate collagen production. The Infini creates much fewer holes in the skin but adds heat to the tips of the needles. This heat intensifies the treatment significantly. I would say the collagen boost is 10 times or so. There will be more downtime, more discomfort, and more results with the Infini vs microneedling.

Hi there-- microneedling is a treatment that uses multiple tiny needles that puncture into the dermis to stimulate collagen. It is usually done with a growth factor serum or PRP to produce better results. This must be done at medical depths to be effective. Aestheticians working on their own are legally prohibited in most states (perhaps all?) from performing microneedling at a medical depth, but may do so under a doctor's supervision in most states. 
Infini RF is a much more powerful treatment. It combines microneedling and RF, and is very effective at skin tightening and treating acne scarring. There is really no comparison between the two treatments. I generally recommend microneedling to my younger patients as a way to maintain collagen and Infini to patients who want a correction for sagging skin, wrinkles or acne scarring.

Really complex questions as there are many variables.-1. Micro needling without RF means vertically delivered needles- no heat, no energy2. Infini is a brand that uses RF, but with insulated needle tips. 49 tips for Specialist use. 3. Micro needling RF with other brands such as Secret, Intensif etc.. uses micro needling RF without insulation. 4. Infini with insulation is generally *but not always more effective. If conducted properly, heal times are faster but the device is complex to understand, and the solenoid or motor is weak, coupled with carbon build up on the tips at high treatment levels.
