Answer: Propecia - one year needed to see results. Any individual using finasteride for androgenetic alopecia (male balding) should give it one year to see results. For some men, a reduction in shedding is seen at month 2, 3 or 4 but not regrowth. In fact, most hair loss treatments take 9 months to 12 months to see an effect.Keep in mind that an improvement is see in only 40-50% of users, But 90 % will experience a stoppage of hair loss. So don't focus on an improvement. That's a bonus. If you have no change in your hair, it could still mean the drug is working.Changes however are not seen at 4 months

Answer: Propecia (finasteride) I tell my patients to wait a full year to see real benefits from Propecia (fiinasteride). Once you are on it, stay on it. Benefits may include (1) reversal of the hair loss, (2) stopping the balding process, (3) slowing down the balding process. The last two, may not be easily recognized in less than a year or more.
