Your question does not include how many treatments of subcision and TCA CROSS you received. I have been performing subcisions, for elevating and smoothing boxcar and rolling scars, since 1995 and TCA CROSS, for treating ice pick scars and dilated pores, for twenty-four years both with very gratifying results. I always emphasize to my patients that for the vast majority of people these techniques typically take three to four treatment sessions on average to achieve maximal improvment. So, when you imply disappointment with these approaches, we do not know whether that was following receiving the requisite number of sessions. Both subcision and TCA CROSS have a several decades' long rack record for efficacy and safety in all skin types. Superficial chemical peels were unlikely to do much in this case, so no surprise with your disappointment there. And, as far as gizmo treatments, like fraxel lasers, RF devices, and Tixel, the hard science to support the use of these relatively expensive bells and whistles lags woefully behind the heavy marketing and social media buzz that surrounds these often here-today-gone-tomorrow fads. So, again, no surprises there, either. Before chasing the next fad hyped by Dr. Google, you would be wise to consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist acne scar specialist to discuss the aforementioned. Hope this helps and saves you time, money and frustration going forward. Best of luck.
