Is it possible to avoid bluish bruises after dermal fillers?

Hello, How can we avoid bluish bruises after the dermal fillers ( undereyes, cheeks, jawline..) , Can we take Reparil, for example, a week before to do fillers? Or what we advise me to do before? Because every time I undergo the dermal filler there are bruises on my face and I stay with these bruises for a week 10 days , thanks for your answer

Hello, and thank you for your question. While bruising is a common and temporary side effect after injectable treatments, there are measures you can take to avoid it. These include eliminating alcohol before and after treatment, taking Arnica before and after treatment, applying cold packs to the treatment areas, elevating the head for 2 days, avoiding supplements like aspirin, ibuprofen, and fish oil, and avoiding vigorous exercise for 2 days after treatment.

The best way to determine how you should adjust your habits before and after your treatment would be to consult with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon. An expert surgeon will be able to make specific recommendations to ensure you have the smoothest recovery process possible. My office also uses blunt-tipped microcannulas for many filler treatments to help reduce bruising and improve outcomes.

To minimize bruising from filler treatment you will want to avoid aspirin, NSAIDS, Vitamin E supplements, fish oil supplements, and wine prior to your treatment.  You can also consider taking Arnica and Bromelain which may help with bruising and swelling.

There is always a possibility of bruising when it comes to injections. You can avoid bruising by doing the following: -Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen 1 week prior to your appointment-Stop the use of vitamin E. and fish oil 1 week prior to your appointment-Take Arnica tablets 24 hours before your treatment-Avoid red wine 24 hours before your appointment 
Injecting filler with a cannula can also prevent bruising.
