I have raised mole on/in my eyelid I really want to remove. Will it cause a keloid? (photo)

Mole removal begins with a comprehensive examination and consultation to determine the likelihood of a mole being worrisome. 
Excisional and incisional biopsies are reserved for suspicious moles.
But its good news that most moles are not problematic and are only
cosmetic, thus leading to the option of scarless or non-surgical mole
removal with lasers and RF and plasma.

Thanks for your question and photo.  It is very helpful.  I see these type of moles in my office all the time, and I would recommend you see a board certified oculoplastic surgeon for removal.  It would be safest for the physician to put an eye shield like a large contact in your eye to protect the eyeball.  They will numb the eye with eye drops before placing the eye shield, and it it not generally too uncomfortable.  It is unlikely you will keloid in this area, so please see a professional for evaluation in person.  Best of luck!

Hello and thank you for your question and photo. It is difficult to properly assess your skin from this type of forum or through photographs; however, I do see a growth on your eyelid margin. As for mole removal and keloid formation, it is hard to predict if you would develop a keloid or not. I would recommend a consultation by a board certified dermatologist, ophthalmologist, or surgeon for evaluation and discussion of appropriate treatment. Best of luck.
