I did my first session with Lumminous lightshare and I had laser burns all over. Now, I learnt it will take 6 months to get back pigment. Clinic used high parameter. I'm currently in country for few months and thought I will complete 4 sessions atleast. Should I continue with Hyperion machine from diff clinic? Will it affect present depigmentation or can cuase new one? Or i should completly wait until pigment comes back? Or laser is not for me.

Dealing with burns and subsequent hypopigmentation from a first session is really stressful, and it makes complete sense that you're questioning whether to keep going&mdash;especially when you're only in the country for a limited time.
Even though you passed a patch test with the new machine, here is what I usually tell clients who are in this exact spot:
Let the pigment recover first: When skin experiences thermal burns that lead to loss of color, those pigment-producing cells (melanocytes) have taken a serious hit. Zapping them again before they've fully bounced back dramatically increases the risk of triggering more burns or causing permanent patchy discoloration.
A bad machine vs. bad settings: The burns from your first session sound like they came from overly aggressive parameters rather than the LightSheer device itself. While a clean trial patch is encouraging, your skin's underlying vulnerability doesn't disappear overnight just because a test spot didn't blister immediately.
Prioritize long-term skin health over quick scheduling: Rushing to knock out four sessions just because you're temporarily in town can backfire if your skin tissue isn't completely healed yet. Laser hair removal is a marathon, and protecting your skin barrier has to come first.
In my Portland clinic, I always advise hitting pause until the skin's pigment normalizes completely. If you do decide to move forward anywhere else while traveling, make sure the technician drops the settings way down and monitors your skin's reaction closely over a full two-week cycle before doing a full session.
