Is punctate bleeding necessary needed to get the best results with a micro needling/derma pen session?

I had a mico needling treatment for my face. The numbing cream contained epinephrine. It suppressed any bleeding, the area was blanched. I am wondering if I would get better results if the numbing cream didn't interfere with the punctate bleeding response. Is there a disadvantage in suppressing that reaction? Does the punctate bleeding actually aid in a better response to the treatment?

Bleeding  occurswhen the needling is placed deeper into the dermis.to get better results.Microneedling works by using a roller or electrical device  with fine needles that create tinysuperficial holes in the skins epidermis and dermis parts. This will triggernatural collagen production. Coupled with growth factor serums, microneedlingcan produce impressive results. The main player in producing results frommicroneedling would be dependent on the healing reaction that will be triggeredwith the treatment procedure. 
Therefore, modest bleeding will be necessary. The growth factor serums used withthe microneedling session will also come into play. After care maintenance willalso be important, as this will prevent unwanted side effects like prolonged rednessor swelling. These are still normal though, should they happen to you. Punctate bleeding is not necessary to get the best results from micro-needling. Medical micro-needling uses very fine stainless steel
needles to make superficial channels into the epidermis and dermis to release growth
factors that promote the deposition of normal collagen. So the key to micro-needling is the
healing response that this process stimulates. It is actually the keratinocyte, a cell that is in the superficial layers of the skin, which is responsible
for releasing several key growth factors that facilitate ideal skin rejuvenation.
