If I have temporary veneers in, and my top teeth are hitting my bottom when I talk, is this a sign of a bigger problem?

Had a "trial smile" to give a general idea what cosmetic improvements could be obtained through veneers. I loved what I saw and had no difficulty speaking etc with the piece in place. I decided to go with 7 upper veneers, and one upper crown (to replace an crown) most of the work was to lengthen the crown to match other front tooth, close gaps and improve overall color, etc. Now that the temporary is in place, my upper teeth hit the bottom teeth when I talk. Normal, or needs addressing? HELP!

Hello there,It's not uncommon to need a bite adjustment after you've had several teeth veneered.  Contact your dentist as soon as possible.  They can adjust your temporaries and if necessary communicate with the lab to make adjustments to your permanent veneers.  Good luck and I hope this helps. Hi:Most likely you need a bite adjustment to correct speech and over hitting of the upper and lower teeth.  My recommendation is to go for a bite adjustment right away, since bite issues make the teeth unnecessarily sensitive.  This way the dentist is aware of all the issues and your speech and bite can be improved while in temporary.Best of luck!
