Sex after PDO thread lift

Thanks for this question. It is not the sexual activity perse but any exertion that may cause swelling, shearing of the layers the barbed sutures are placed in, and/or compression and extension of the tissues surrounding the Thread Lift site.
Activities such as downward-dog (yoga position), bending over doing the laundry, cooking over a warm stove (overheating), and resistance training can swell the face. Yawning, turning and rotating your head among other movements can push or pull the threads across the fibrous mesh the sutures pass through.
2 caveats: 1. Following the mechanical lift created with the barbed sutures, it takes 10 days to stimulate the first molecules of collagen which keep the threads in place. The amount of collagen made is microscopically around each thread and does not extend beyond the suture itself. Therefore, 2. If not enough sutures were used to pull against gravity, lift against the muscle forces opposing them and enough time for the sutures to maintain the lift via collagen production, you may not achieve your desired results or expectations. It is my recommendations to minimize the above activities for 3 weeks following the procedure.
Yes, the mechanical lift of a thread lift maybe perceived to be gone, (compare with your pre-procedure photos) but the 2nd step collagen firming and contracting results will be better appreciated 6 to 12 weeks following the procedure.
