I am 34 years old and my face and dropped cheeks, nose to mouth folds and around eyes. Would a thread lift be beneficial or fillers?
Answer: PDO threads and fillers Hi @emmafreiter! PDO threads are great for lifting desired facial anatomy for structural changes and to promote collagen and myofibroblast stimulation improving skin texture and health. You would benefit from PDO threads in the midface and jowl area for a nice lift. In For the tear trough area, I would recommend fillers (specifically Juvederm Voluma, Restylane Defyne, or regular Restylane). Another non-surgical option to help with the hollowing of the under eyes would be PRP injections. PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. PRP is highly effective for restoring sunken eyes. Generally, two vials of blood will be collected from the patient and placed into a centrifuge. The centrifuge spins and separates the platelets from the rest of the blood components. The plasma contains the valuable collagen and growth factors from the rest of the blood's components. The plasma is then drawn up into a syringe and injected in the tear trough area. Typically, 3-6 sessions is adequate for optimal results. I hope this was helpful!

Answer: Would thread lifting or fillers be better for me? Thank you for sharing your question and posting your photographs. In your particular case, fillers would be more beneficial than thread lifting. Your skin is much too tight to see any benefits from the placement of Threads. See an ocular facial surgeon for comprehensive evaluation and guidance. Good luck!

Answer: Nonsurgical Filler "Facelifts" Are Quick, Provide Immediate Results, & Engender Little To No Significant Downtime I gave up performing threadlifts quite a few years ago. They are relatively expensive, have a relatively high complication rate (skim dimpling, lumps, extrusion of stitches, infections, etc.), are minimally invasive and hence typically engender downtime, and the results generally last little more than those obtained with fillers. On the other hand, HA fillers can be used to create a "liquid facelift," i.e. can be use to contour and lift the cheeks, treat tear troughs and under eye hollows, diminish smile lines, straighten downturned corners of the mouth and marionette lines, and define saggy, jowly jawlines (among other uses). The results of these treatments is immediate, typically eliciting an immediate "Wow!" reaction, and there is little to no significant downtime. Just make sure that you consult with a board certified cosmetic dermatologist and ask to see his/her personal befores and afters prior to agreeing to proceed. Best of luck.
