a year ago! Looking back at a pic taken Feb. 2016 I realized its not distance its bone loss in the maxilla. My mouth looks more "ape" like. I had filler in my upper lip a few times so the upper lip protrudes a bit more but you can see how sunken in the area around my mouth looks. Even my nose is dropping because there is less support for it. The distance between the tip of nose and top of philtrum is deeper! Jaw is not as strong. Can filler be placed in these areas? Please help :(

The nasolabial folds will appear deeper as our upper cheeks lose volume. Replacing this volume with a filler, such as voluma, will lift cheek. After lifting the cheek, a small amount of filler can be added directly to the nasolabial fold for further softening of the line.

Hi @Anon487566! I don't recommend that you massage the area. It can take up to two weeks for the final results of your tear trough injections. If you are still unhappy after two weeks, you can reverse it with hyaluronidase. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
The main reason to avoid fillers would be to prevent infection and your body's response to foreign material. Therefore each case is different- if a person is doing well and no issues whatsoever in their consult from a cancer point of view, it would be okay to proceed in my opinion....
