What is going on with my mole? And should I be worried?

I have a large mole next to my eye since i was born, i can't remove it because is so close to my eye, and it has never given me a problem. But lately its been itching a lot and sometimes it feels like there is some electric current pulsing there; kinda like when you get a cramp and its pins and needles.
