This is a question that would best be answered in the office setting.  I recommend that you call a dermatologist in your area for an appointment.  The sensation you are describing is unusual for a mole, and the spot may be inflamed.  There are no pictures of your spot available, but a dermatologist or plastic surgeon would be able to answer whether or not the spot needs to be biopsied, or can be removed.  I hope this was helpful!
