Equivalent diameters between moderate plus and ultra high and high profile XL implants. Hello, I currently have mentor smooth round saline Moderate plus 500's overfilled to 600 on each side. I like them but would like more projection (and bigger). I'm 5'7", 145lbs. Thank you. Kristeen
Answer: What are the CC sizes for ultra high and high profile implants with the same diameter as I have now? Thank you for your question. Rather than giving you a "cut and paste" answer, I am going to try to answer your question. Keep in mind that there are many manufacturers of implants and even within those, there are many types, so you can likely find what you are looking for. If you currently have Mentor smooth round saline implants, moderate plus, 500cc, then the dimensions of your implant are noted at 13.6 cm diameter and 5.1 cm projection. Let it be noted that if they are overfilled, the implants tend to take more of a circular shape and so they decrease in width and increase in projection. So if you are overfilled to 600cc, then your implant dimensions are actually more like 13.2 cm diameter and 5.9 cm in projection. So, if I understand your question, you are looking for an implant that has more projection but maintains the same width? In the Mentor silicone gel line, the largest smooth round implant with that much projection is the 590 cc Ultra High Profile, which comes in at 12.5 cm width and 6.3 cm projection. So that would give you the projection, but not the volume and the width you are looking for. In the Allergan line, you could choose the Style 45 implant (extra high profile), which at 650 cc would give you a width of 13.2 cm and a projection of 6.2 cm. This would increase both your volume and your projection while keeping the width roughly the same. I hope this helps answer your question. Keep in mind that depending on your exam and your measurements, a qualified plastic surgeon may be able to give you even more options on how to optimize your results and reach your goals so it is always best to get a consultation with a local board certified plastic surgeon. For example, if your chest can support a wider implant, you may have even more options to maximize your projection and volume with a variety of implants. Best of luck!

Answer: Comparable diameters Hello, if you are looking into finding UHP implants with the same diameter as your current implants that are being considered, I'd suggest following up with your surgeon. It is important to make sure there is adequate breast tissue to cover the larger implants (even if they fit your BWD)

Answer: What are the CC sizes for ultra high and high profile implants with the same diameter as I have now? Thank you for the question. Keep in mind as you are thinking about your goals that sometimes adjustment of the breast implant pockets (capsule adjustments) may be necessary to achieve the outcome you are looking for. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering revisionary breast augmentation surgery is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "up a cup size” or "D or DD cup" or "more projection" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your chosen plastic surgeon to work with you in determining the best plan to achieve your goals. I hope this, and the attached link (dedicated to revisionary breast augmentation surgery concerns), helps. Best wishes.

Answer: Comparing breast implants You'll probably need to see the actual implants to get a good idea of the differences. Check with your plastic surgeon as most of us have samples in our offices.
