Deep in the skin have red pigmentation - what is the best way to clear this? (photos)

It's been treated several times by yag laser 1064. It's gotten better through such treatments but the treatments always result in my skin blistering very badly and in some cases leading to scarring. When the doctors use the laser on the lowest setting it doesn't treat the redness. At higher settings it get's the redness to clear but causes the blistering and scarring. I really appreciate any advice or ideas on another form of treatment

Thank you for your question.  You appear to have a combination of redness and scarring.  It is unclear if the scarring is due to the laser or acne or something else.  Diffuse redness is not typically treated with a 1064 Nd:Yag laser as the laser penetrates very deeply and may not target the vasculature, unless you are using the micro pulsed variant of the 1064 which works very well for diffuse redness.  1064 Nd:Yag vascular uses typically are for veins and superficial vessels and not diffuse redness.  The most common lasers used to treat diffuse redness are the pulsed dye laser and the 532 KTP.  We have found stacking the Excel V (532 KTP) with Laser Genesis (Micro-pulsed 1064 Nd:Yag) yields the best results for this condition.  After the redness is resolved, you may require other treatments for the scarring.  Regards, Dr. Matt Elias
