I have 2.5 year old polytech polyurethane implants- should I get them removed?

I’ve recently done loads of research into my breast implants performed in Poland by a highly skilled surgeon who recommended them as less chance of capsular contracture and good quality/ long lasting etc however I’m reading stuff online about a rare type of cancer and the dangers of these implants- they’ve caused me no problems as of yet but worried now and thinking I should get them removed and have a total capsulectomy and then replaced with UK approved ones?

Dear Hells1302,Hello and thank you for your excellent question. The decision to remove your implants is a personal one. That being said, if you are worried about health risks associated with the polyurethane implants, then certainly removal is a good option.  You should be evaluated for a No-Vertical-Scar, No-Implant breast lift technique to be performed after your implant removal.  Some people refer to this as the Bellesoma Breast Lift technique. It is best to answer your question during a face-to-face evaluation, when you can discuss your goals and expectations for the procedure, and you can have a physical examination to evaluate for that procedure. I recommend that you find a board-certified, or board-eligible plastic surgeon with whom you are comfortable.
