Hi there, Botox can take up to 14 days to take affect. It is best to wait to 2 weeks to see if the problem resolves, and then return to your care provider for a follow up if you still have concerns.

I appreciate your concern, but rest assured that while you might see results begin to appear in three days, full results do not become apparent for two weeks. Give yourself a bit more time and you may see the other side start to relax so your appearance evens out and becomes more natural. If you are unhappy with your results after two weeks, I encourage you to schedule a follow-up with your injector to determine whether additional treatment might be needed.

Botox will begin working somewhere between 3-5 days for most patients.  Full effectiveness cannot be determined until 10 days after injection.  I recommend that my patients wait the full 10 days before deciding if they need a touch up or not.  I always recommend speaking with your physician injector about any questions or concerns you might have.

The effects of using botulinum toxin can be assessed after 2 weeks. It's normal that sometimes some muscles respond faster than others. 3 days is a very short period for evaluation, so it is worth waiting. If the problem does not disappear after 2 weeks, you should consult the doctor performing the procedure.

You may be starting to see and feel some of the effects of the Botox, but it will take two weeks for you to see the final results.  If after that time you still have concerns, return to your injector for an evaluation.

Botox lock the release of a chemical called acetylcholine, which triggers the muscle contractions that create wrinkles. Botox essentially paralyze the muscles and stops them from contracting. Results from these treatments are visible within 3-14 days with results that can last anywhere from 3-4 months. Follow up with your injector at 2 weeks if you still have any questions or concerns. Hi Kasyee,Although Botox can kick in within 3-4 days, full effects can be seen only after 10-14 days. Please see your Provider for a touch-up two weeks after your injection. Injecting earlier is not advisable. Take note that the human face may not be perfectly symmetrical, with one side stronger than the other or with brow levels slightly different - which is why the injection points and amounts may vary.All the best,Justin Harper, M.D.
