Do you think Invisalign will give me a good result without SARPE surgery? (Photo)

Invisalign is a good option for fixing your crowded teeth and creating a better bite.  If you're trying to fully correct your bite alignment, you might want to also consider functional appliance therapy.  Often used in growing children, it is not widely known functional appliances can be used in adults as well.  The treatment can expand your palate in 2 directions (laterally and forward).  You may consider doing this before you start Invisalign treatment.

Dear tsingtao1,Thank you for posting your question on RealSelf.  I will do my best to provide an answer with the information provided.On a side note, I grew up outside of Pittsburgh.  Anyway, it is difficult to advise with the photo provided.  I think in your case, it is a matter of how perfect you would like your occlusion.  Also, depending on the severity of your crossbite, Invisalign can expand enough to correct the occlusion, and you would not have to leave it in crossbite.  If you are not confident with your orthodontist's opinion, I would schedule a second opinion with an Elite or Top 1% Invisalign treating orthodontist.I hope that this helps and best of luck.Dr. Jennifer StachelJennifer Stachel Orthodontics
