Is .25mg of finastride just as effective as a full dose?

I’m 21, and starting to thin around my temples. No recession yet but I thought I’d try finastride. I’ve read online that .25mg of finastride is about just as effective in reducing DHT levels as a full does. From the graphs I looked at, it’s about a 15-20% difference as opposed to a 75% difference. Just wanted to know your professional opinion. Thanks.

Hello and thank you for your question. .25mg of Finasteride is approximately 50% as effective as a full dose. Of course this would be up to your doctors determination as to how much is sufficient for you. Best wishes.Dr. T

1mg is the recommended dosage of Finasteride. It is only if you experience any side effects that I would recommend taking less of a dose.
