Is it safe to wax after IPL sessions?

Hi! My last IPL session was more than a year ago, but given the pandemic, I resorted to shaving my underarms instead. Is it safe to go with waxing instead? since I prefer an alternative that does not cause abrasions in my underarms. Thanks!
