Can’t tell if bump/lump or just swelling? 3 days post under eye fillers. (photo)

Question

I had undereye filler 3 days ago and my left eye have these bumps. I’m not sure if they are swelling or they are lumps from the filler. It’s just weird because I have a swell or lump can’t tell, on the middle part of my under eye, a kind of hollow space, and another slight bump or swell at the end of the under eye. It’s causing a ridge to form, and i’m anxious if this is permanent or will just go away in a few days. And especially at the bottom part, the dark circles seems to be extending. Help

Hi and thanks for your question. There can be some lumps and/or swelling after tear trough injections. I would wait 1-2 weeks before assessing final results. If you're unhappy with your results, the filler can be reversed with hyaluronidase. Best of luck.

Hello,Thank you for your question and picture. Based on what can be seen it appears you are experiencing normal post filler results. The swelling can take a week to fully dissipate. If you are still seeing the bumps after a week schedule a follow up appointment with your provider. If something is not sitting right the filler can be dissolved. Thanks for your question! Changes like this are fairly common immediately after filler. The best thing to do is reach out to the person that gave you your injection and ask them. They may have you massage and ice or do nothing. Since I don't know where or how the injection was done, and I also don't know what was injected, I can't really comment extensively. Swelling and bruising are common after undereye filler treatment and can take up to 2 weeks to resolve. I would give the undereyes a little more time to settle. If at the 2 week mark you remain concerned, I would followup with your injector. The filler can be reversed using hyaluronidase if need be.

This is a common question.  It is really too early to determine what the cause of the bumps are as you only had the injection 3 days ago.  Give it 2 weeks and if they are still present go back to your provider to see what is going on and decide on a course of action.  As long as hyaluronic  fillers were used they can be reversed with hyaluronidase.

If there is no redness or no pain, it is just swelling. Try to message it- it should go away in a few days. If it gets red, please see your doctor.

Hi pillowcase22,You've just had filler injections so expect the area to be lumpy or grainy. please follow post-op instructions and continue to massage.The swelling should go away in about a week.
